"Sound is more than an afterthought—it's the heartbeat of a film. I bring sound into my edits early to help shape the emotional experience from the start."
Hi, I’m Meredith Perry. I’m an editor, writer, and director living on an island in Washington State. Recently, I edited the Sundance 2023 and SXSW 2024 documentary Plan C, which is now streaming on all platforms. I’ve edited for major brands, as well as Vice, Dinky Pictures, Rabbit Bandini, Maker Studios, The Emmy Awards, Young Hollywood, Firecracker Films, and Relativity Media. I work primarily out of my barn loft edit bay.
On occasion, I’ve also been hired as a voice-over artist. As a vocalist with a background in music composition and sound design, I understand the importance of sound in film and incorporate it early in the editorial process.
My one-act play, Cry, was chosen to be performed as part of the Lopez Original Theater Festival.
I received my MFA in Film Directing from Cal Arts in 2009.
